New To Reloading - Research Phase

Hmmm, no scale, no tumbler... I'm still a little foggy re the turret style...are these designs so that one can keep the deprimer, primer, crimper (?) all loaded on the turret at once ? They don't do what an auto will do. do they ? I'm only int in 44mag right now.

    Redhawk vs. Super Redhawk

Is the SRH frame/handle area larger ? I held one not that long ago, didn't seem all that much bigger...btu I will say the std RH grips are too small. The Pachmayr Presentations solve that though.

Does the 401 Powermag offer anything over the 44mag ?

    Redhawk vs. Super Redhawk

Some RHs have scope cutouts (I call them :) too...some don't though. Does the SRH not weigh more with that 'reinforement' at the barrel/frame ? I read there wa sa time when Ruger's had a barrel-coming-loose issue, and I always wondered if that beefed up area was a fix...at least for 44m. For...

When Are Loads 'Right' for Revolver ?

Thx for the info so far... Seems hard for me to fathom that a cylinder will expand at all. Maybe some minute amount, microns might be believable. Still I wonder if anyone has reloaded brass that was moderately-hard/snug to get out of a cylinder, to see if it would get even more stuck. Seems to...

New To Reloading - Research Phase

Ok, it seems a Turret would give me semi-auto easy of use but isn't an autoloader, more like a single-stage...seems a Turret is what I'll do. No mixing of powders...or at least not admitted to :) And I need a good scale, maybe a Tare scale (compare style) ? So next on the block is fluid...

When Are Loads 'Right' for Revolver ?

I'm planning on reloading (44mag) sooner rather than later, and have been researching & reading... Some folks, maybe many (mostly?) have written that the max load in their revolver is just below the point where the brass is hard to get out. is this too simple an approach ? I'm wondering (too...

New To Reloading - Research Phase

Ok so it seems I don't need a Dillon. The rest seem to be about the same...what I'll reload mostly (95%) is 44mag. Later some 357mag, then some oddball stuff like 375H&H, 458WM, 7.5x55 Swiss... So it seems the powder and seating should be all done at one sitting...ok. I may only do 100 at a...

New To Reloading - Research Phase

Thx...I'm tending towards a single-stage, as I'd like to be able to do one task on 50-100, then leave them until another day, and another stage or task. What about brand ? That may be my next decision. What about a Dillon single stage ?

What Exactly Is a Bisley ?

Does a Bisley start life as a Blackhawk ? What makes a Bisley a Bisley ? Do all Bisley's have the engraved Bisley cylinder ? Are all Bisley's 44's ? Is this a Bisley ? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/759789057
