AHA! I thought so! They just seem to have a different feel getting seated and going through the final crimp/sizing die..
Might be just the boolits for that R-P brass...
Not sure about this. I have some favorites based how well they spread/penetrate or how well they set up & stay where I put 'em. Depends on the application. But yeah. As far as making parts slide & keeping the rust off...
Having said that, I know a 'smith with a LOT of years experience who...
Same. I can't leave 'em laying around. I have a double four legged security system that pretty much guarantees I'll never be taken by surprise.
...or get a full day's sleep, but that's OK. ;)
There are a whole grunch of springs/followers around. The Wilson Combat springs & followers work. I have a couple sets of those. The 7 rd spring is more robust. It will last longer & prevent last round jams that are not uncommon with 8 rd mags.
To use the old P90 plastic follower you need a...
So far I only have 400-500 rds through mine with 5 different Ruger mags. Zero..bupkus... nada... not even one malfunction using Mini Mags. I really like it. Decent accuracy. The controls are stiff (I'm told they'll loosen with use) and take some getting used to.
Dislikes: Mag safety... :roll...
I'd be all over it. I just paid $134 for a set of Trijicons to go on my KP90.
And they're not making the P94 anymore. Plus cop guns tend to be carried much, shot little.
The Ruger just might make you forget the Berreta. I scored a 5.5" bull barrel model. Wasn't exactly what I wanted but for $200 new.... :o
Thing has been a ton of fun. Zero malfunctions in a few hunnert or so rounds of Mini Mags. Accuracy seems to be improving with rounds down the barrel, but I...
Wilson Combat has an 8 rd spring & plastic follower that seem to be working OK so far, though I haven't put a lot of rounds through it yet.
The 7rd spring & follower from an early P90 work great. Those are in the gun when it's on zombie duty. IMO if you can't gitter done with 7 or 14 rds of .45...
Well, Ruger is known for inexpensive guns. Right now the polymer is the way to do that. Wonder how much of it has to do with the lack of safety "features" and a manual printed on the slide...
I don't much care for Ruger DA revolvers so they really don't have a lot to interest me in handguns...
I'm gonna try to find one for me. Awhile back I had to pass on a blue DC model due to lack of $$$. I was told they're not on the PRK safe gun list so who knows if I'll see another.
Actually, the new one I saw has a silver stripe down the slide. Kinda breaks up the huge black slab that is the slide. Aesthetically a major improvement.
