Which run of SS BH Bisley 45 Colt is best?

I have the Accusport Bisley Convertible. I sent the 45 Colt cylinder to Mr. Bowen to have the cylinder throats reamed to .4525. It made a big improvement with cast bullets. The accuracy now is great. I left the 45acp cylinder as is because I only shoot hardball thru it and it's accurate. The...

Ruger BlackHawk 45 ACP cylinder gap

I just purchased a New Bisley Blackhawk 45LC with the extra 45ACP cylinder. The problem I believe is the cylinder gap which I measured at .009 compared to the gap of the Long Colt cylinder of .006 . I have 3 other Rugers GP100, LCR 38spl which both have cylinder gaps of .005 . The 3rd which...

Carbon build up in .357 Magnum....

I have the same problem with Starline brass in my GP100. I didn't experience this problem with a S&W 686 that I once owned.

    Fiber optic on LCR?

It didn't change the impact at all. Of course I only shoot it at 7-10 yards. It vastly improved the sight picture for me..

Hi -VIZ sight for LCR 38 Special

Charles, Don't be puzzled, The sight came pre drilled but the the hole didn't quite line up so I used the thumb drill just to align and cleanup the pre-drilled holes. If I didn't I would have certainly would have damaged the pin.

Hi -VIZ sight for LCR 38 Special

That's about what I had to do, I used a thumb drill number 53 to get it on and it certainly improves the sight picture. Thanks

Hi -VIZ sight for LCR 38 Special

I ordered a green Hi-viz sight for my LCR. Can I expect any problems installing it? Does anyone have any tips they could share? I have a fiber optic on my 1911 and it is very easy to see.

Try Trail Boss powder in the 1911

I loaded up a 30 rounds of 45ACP with .452 Falcon hard cast 230gr and Trail Boss powder and took them to the range yesterday to try them out. If you want a practice load with light recoil and accurate this is the way to go. I had 0 malfunctions, and it was a lot cleaner than my loads with HP38...

    Lee Rifle Dies disappointed

I had a set of Lee dies in 30-06 about 30 years ago. It would mark the cases with a scratch down the side of the case. I never complained to Lee and just went out and purchased RCBS dies. Since that time I have purchased Lee 4 die sets in 357 and 45 acp and have been very happy with them. I...

Nice Accurate Target Load with Trail Boss

I thought I would share this with the group. I loaded some 357 Starline brass with 4.0grs of Trail Boss Powder topped with a 125gr. Falcon TCLP bullet. It's a very light recoiling load which has turned out to be the most accurate load to date in my GP100. Most know that Trail Boss is more...

    Best Powder Measure for Unique?

I have 2 uniflows, one with the small cylinder and the other with the large. The smaller one I use for pistol loads 357 & 45acp the larger cylinder for Rifle such as 30-06.. I find the Uniflows to be very accurate without deviation with powders such as W231.
