Hit it with some Mother's Mag Polish. Didn't seem to do much but didn't want to polish it for too long for reasons you have mentioned. Ruger has awesome CS and already has sent me a return label. Free 2-day air. Can't beat that.

I forgot to mention.. When I was sighting in and the hits were hitting 3-4 inches left and 2-3 inches low, the shots were in a tight 1 inch group at that same spot while I was aiming directly at the center of the target. So its not my accuracy!!

Everyone has a Glock. I also heard that the Ruger sr9 was suppose to be just as reliable, but with a better feel in the hand. Also I hated the blocky look to it and the SR9 was more aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

Yes after every use I clean and lube all the metal parts and take special notice to lubing where the parts are rubbing. Kinda regret not going with the glock 17 :/
