    Ruger MKIII Jackpot

Long as I stay away from the Rem golden bullets my MKllls keeps on ticking.

    MkIII 5.5 accuracy

I agree that a MKlll would be great on cottontails out to 50 yds. One must practice and know his skills before taking a shot at game with any gun. With that said I am comfortable at hunting small game out to 25 yds. with iron sights. And 50 yds. to me would be with a scope MK. My eyes are not...

    MkIII 5.5 accuracy

I have a 22/45 with a 5.5 bull barrel. Had a Burris 2 power scope on it last year. On the bench , under good conditions, it will shoot 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards. I use Federal bulk pak 36 grain cartridges. I put a Hi-Viz front sight on it and now love to shoot it with out a scope. Its now a...

    Can't Decide: SuperRedHawk vs RedHawk?

I own the Redhawk and the SRH. I really like both for hunting and shooting. I do prefer and have the SRH scoped. My redhawk is unscoped and I feel has a nicer cleaner look. You can not go wrong with either, so buy one and add another later. :D

    22/45 for a revolver guy?

If you are looking to buy a 22/45 Ruger, I suggest to buy one that gives you the option to change grips. You will appreciate that if your hands are large. For as being a good shooter the 22/45 is great.

    good price?

The 5 1/2 barrel very hard to find in my area and they bring a premium on Gunbroker. You got a great deal! :!:

    22/45 problem?

After a few cleanings, the pin usually gets more easy to slide through. I will give you the procedure I use and maybe it will help. After putting barrel and bolt back in gun. Insert your empty magazine and keep safety off. With barrel pointed downward pull trigger to get hammer to go forward...

    Which chronograph?

I have the prochrono that I have been using for the past five years. For the money I have been pleased. I think Midway gets about $120.00 for the unit now. :)

    3" sp101 or 4" gp100 for dedicated trail hiking?

It be the gp with the 4 inch barrel. Much better shooter out at 25 yds plus. The sp 101 to me is better for ccw.

GP100 357 6" what is your most accurate handload?????

12 grains of 2400 pushing a 180 Hornady xtp has been my favorite hunting load for deer. I clocked it in at 1080fps. It sets no record on speed, but at 50 yards will stay within 1 1/2 inches. Never shot it at 100 yds, just figured to keep shots within 50yds for hunting with a 357. The 158 grain...

    MarkIII, picky ammo

I have shot literally 1000`s of the Federal bulk pack 22 s, never had one not go BANG. Also they feed great thru my MK lll. The Remington golden bullets , I will have about 1 in 20 not fire. Not sure what the deal is , although it has a good strike on it. :)

Looking for MK III trigger Job

For under $ 40.00, the volquartsen target trigger is hard to beat. I have installed the trigger on a couple of my MK lll . With the adjustment screws on the trigger , it will take most of the over travel and the mushy feeling out of it. Comes with simple instructions. :D

    New MarkIII

Very nice gun ! I have the MKlll Competition model with a 6 7/8 barrel. Its very similar to the Hunter. With scope and Federal ammo will shoot 0 at 25, +1 at 50 and - 3 inches at 100 yards. Can usually keep rounds within a 4 inch circle at 100 yards. That is shooting off a bench. Hope you...
