Hello considering the issues your having with this gun and the costs to have a gunsmith fix it.... what is your lowest shipped price? Thank you Chris in Georgia
Sorry for not adding to this post... been very busy.
I’m working on a prototype long grip with finger grooves. My friend who owns Tilander grips is helping me at the moment. Will update post as progress is made
Hello I’m looking for suggestions or a source for a set of grips for a ruger Bearcat. What I’m specifically looking for is a set with finger grooves. And does anyone know which Tyler t grips may fit with slight modifications. Thank you BB
Just to clarify the 3 shot loading.
After opening gate the cylinder will click and rotate allowing for 3 rounds to be loaded. Then the cylinder locks in place. All I did to remedy this was pull the hammer back about half way and rest on empty chamber. Then I was able to load the other 3 rounds.
Louiethelump: I don’t see there being a recall at all. I’m sure you can appreciate “tinkering and experimenting” to see what might work. I of course realize the void of warranty and the risk. Also realize that not every om cylinder will work. Mine happens to function 100% after the 3 shot...
57springer:
Yes your reading my post correctly.the spare 22wmr cylinder from a old model single six... fit and functioned. As I posted loading was a little difficult... had to load 3 then half cock hammer and load 3 more... but firing was 100 %
I finally got my bronze wrangler and out of curiosity had to see if a 22 magnum cylinder would fit. Like another member posted it will fit but won’t function. Mine fit but could not get base pin to lock....so I tried an old model cylinder and it works. Here’s what I observed:
1.Cylinder fits...
Great Louie....I was planning to do the same as you have. Add a aluminum frame.
I thought the wrangler was heavy myself.
Re: mainspring: are you going to replace or cut a few coils?
And have you checked to see if a 22wmr cylinder will fit?
