    That is a beautiful gun! Congratulations! I was fortunate enough to acquire a 4 " lowback a few years ago. Several months after I purchased it, I got a call from the dealer saying the he had the original white box serial numbered to the gun! The estate it had come out of had found some boxes...

    Found an original 6 shot .22lr Ruger SP101

    I picked up one of the 6-shots last week, c. '94 production. It doesn't have the box and has the monogrip. It shoots great! The Hogue monogrip is comfortable, but not very appealing to my eye. I hope to replace it soon with some nice ones like hittman has on his. Congrats on your find!

    gewehrfreund: I looked again and it does have the vertical split rings! I didn't even know enough to notice or appreciate what type of rings it had mounted on it. This story is getting better! I'll try and figure how to post a picture. Never done it before.
