    CMP ammo

Not completely accurate. They have rationed their mil-surp 30-06 to ten cans per year per customer.

    Ammo shelf life

I have also shot some WWII ammo with no problems. Shoot much that was made in '60s also with no problems. But ammo shelf life at Walmart today is about 1/2 hour!

When will Ruger produce a SemiAuto Shotgun?

Short answer: probably never. Longer answer: gee, wouldn't it be swell to be able to be a one-brand, loyal Ruger owner? (no, I have too many fine Smiths, Winnies, Remmies, Colts, Brownings, etc...) But seriously, an affordable shotgun is the only thing missing from an otherwise complete line.

How Many Rounds In Your Single Six...

Welcome to the world of .22 revolvers. It is a common malady to have them gum up after high volume fire. My kids used to run hundreds of rounds through their Bearcat and it was nearly impossible to load by the time we headed for home. Just take a brush and rod to he range with you I guess.

    Tiny Bearcat

If it shoots to point of aim with the new sight radius I would covet it for a fanny-pack gun on day hikes. Oh, nice looking too.

Would've been an interesting event had all those critters crossed that ground at the same time.

Grip KARMA Drawing - A Time for Reflection

Nice story. Please drop my name in the hat. The plastic faux stags on my OM BH are ugly, while the grips you picture are quite pleasing to the eye.

One of Bill Ruger's 1949 Competitors

So how did Ruger make it a go? I'm guessing the lower price point for a somewhat sturdier gun. Along with that there was a Luger-look to the gun, and a Luger-sounding name to boot that may have intrigued people. Still have a HS HD-Military in the family collection, but a bit more beat up than...

Remington Nylon 66 article in Gun Digest

My dad had a Nylon 66 when I was a kid. I always thought it was coyote-ugly. But that thing sure was a shooter as I recall. Now they are collector's items? Funny how things "uncool" get "cool" given enough time.

    Blazer ammo

Cops and military don't reload so I wonder why they never took the economical route with Blazer-type aluminum cased ammo? I think there must be some issues with corrosion or durability that concerns them. How else can you eplain the big snub?

*SPF*: 1 oz 999.9 fine gold bar

Your price is "spot" on (pun intended) A few dollars over today's spot price, postage paid, not a bad deal. But I have more of a silver appetite, and a copper budget.

    Ruger Bearcat

Not sure about the Bearcat price, but they are fun little guns! I like my Triple K "Ruger" holster for my Bearcat.

Are you kidding? With all the legal entanglements and paperwork and fees involved in California? No way!
