Buckeye - I've one. With American factory ammo its a 1.5MOA at best...have not hand-loaded for it yet. As for ComBlock (sorry not quite PC) ammo I have not used it. Lottsa folks at the range like the M77 and, since adding a thicker recoil pad to increase LOP, a joy to shoot. Sort of like a bolt...

sliclee - Yes, Ruger is certainly NOT dumb...they have had a better command of what their customers wanted much better than their competitors. IF enough people want a .38Super in the SR1911 line then it'll be given serious thought. IMHO - the 9mm /.40S&W will come first because of it's LEO...

Great cartridge to team up w/7MM-08 or .308W etc. Fusion 200 gr load shot MOA or better when I laid off the coffee. Glad to see new reloadable brass became available. My Ruger's All Weather (AW) is a decent platform as the synthetic stock stiffer than most. BarnOwl

Just a thought...add a .338 Federal AW to your 7mm-08 AW and call it done. Those 2 cover a lot of critters. BarnOwl
