Just received E-Mail from Ruger its a no go unrepairable.
Really like the gun Ruger said i couldnt re-order a GP100 or SP101they are not available at this time.
Any good options instead of the GP100 or SP101 in 357 ?

Wow, how far a once great company has fallen.
Not sure what they are doing wrong here.
They don't have a replacement , so they are offering a new gun or your money back.

I bought a used Mini 14 once , that turned out to be a total piece of junk.
I told them I bought it used and could they fix it.
Thy said " send it in ".
They couldn't fix it and sent me a new one for free.

What other company would do that ?

What makes you that?
I think it's strange that they can't provide a replacement from stock on hand. I wonder what the issue would be with a brand new in the box revolver that it can't be repaired.
I know they offered a new replacement or a check but I was just curious about the problem

Sounds like they'll only refund you for the amount of your receipt. Do you have your receipt and how much will you actually get? I guess my determination would be the amount I paid/refunded by them and what they're offering at retail pricing. Hope what I wrote makes sense. :)

A couple questions if I may
What were the initial problems you sent it back for?
Did you talk to anyone there as to why GP or SP aren’t available to you? Seems to me you should be priority 1 and cant image there aren’t any available. You’d think they would stock on hand for situations such as this at the least, odd.
Good luck to you getting it addressed to your satisfaction.

Just buy another off Gunbroker.

Ruger has not fallen and this is not evidence as such. Could've just as easily happened 20yrs ago. I had a faulty Bearcat and had to wait six months for a replacement. Ruger makes guns in batches. If they're all gone or allocated, you have to wait for the next batch. Nothing new.

I just bought a new GP100 4.2" in .357 cal. Sure hope it doesn't develop issues down the road. Love this gun.

I had the exact thing happen to the same kind of pistol, but they fixed it the first time.
First time they changed the slide stop switch and spring, which did not repair it, the second time, they swapped the barrel and slide. As soon as I got it back, and racked the slide, I knew it was fixed, there was just something about it. Works great now.

TY for replying, and letting me know it not just me. LOL

What barrel length is it? I'd suggest to them I need a .357 DA/SA revolver to be made whole and they should choose and send what is available.

Yeah, well ya get aggressive with demands and they may tell you to pound sand ….they likely to slow to a crawl and make sure they do not one thing more than legally obligated by the terms of their written warranty.

I have a Bushnell Banner 3x9x32 rifle scope, made in 1974 by Bausch & Lomb, in Japan.
The screw that holds the power adjustment ring became loose
I called Bushnell and gave them the serial number of the scope, and they sent me a brand new 3x9x40 scope no charge.
Fantastic customer service and lifetime warranty.
I still have the old Banner scope that "could" be fixed with a new locking screw. Bushnell said they no longer have repair parts for a scope that old.
So I'm going to the hardware store and see if I can modify a screw to work.
