And I have to apologize for the national anthem and halftime performances from us in the rest of Louisiana
It’s not your states fault, it’s Goodells and his cronies. They drove the NFL off the cliff years ago. I went to a SB party tonite for the first time in about 5 years and left at half time. Had a lot of good friends there that I like hanging with but lost all interest in the game. I’ll check my pool numbers in the morning but not optimistic. FNFL.
Don't know about ya'll, but I think the person that coordinated this show should be banned from doing anything, ever!! What an absolute waste of time......
My sister said even the commercials suck this year. I wouldn’t know. I don’t waste electricity watching pro sports.
I didn't see it, but it couldn't have been worse than the game LOL

The last time I watched a Super Bowl game was with my great aunt Mamie and the Baltimore Colts were playing the New York Jets... Johnny U. against Broadway Joe is how I remember it... So, I'm not really in the loop here.
But is there a link to this half time show.... I'd like to see what all the fuss is about.
Edit: I think I found it.... I did not find it so bad other than I don't like rap or hip hop or what ever it is and maybe it's just me but I could not understand 95% of what he was singing.... I did get a chuckle when at the beginning all the dancers started coming out of the car... "Uncle" Samual Jackson was pretty cool.

I stopped watching sports when they started with disrespect for the flag and the anthem. I now watch 1 football game a year, the Army-Navy game. So for me it's Pro Rodeo where they honor God, the flag, national anthem and military service, past and present.

I watched a little more than half the game and gave up. The Chiefs' O-line issues they've been struggling with all season finally came back to bite them in the worst possible way. Yikes.
Mahomes got freakin' mauled. He spent most of the game running for his life and mostly losing. He also might have gotten concussed, right off the bat.
For anybody who didn't watch the SB, that's pretty much how the rest of the game went for KC. Oh well, on to next year.

I saw on YouTube that when Taylor Swift was shown on the Jumbotron she was roundly booed. The look on her face was precious.

For the record I actually really liked the half time show. It was completely different than other halftime shows.
I don’t know that singer but he had a great voice, and good stage presence. Plus Samuel Jackson, who doesn’t like him? Although Samuel Jackson’s costume was a little odd.
But the singer wearing blue jeans, and at one point with all male backup singers/dancers did a great job without any risk of being accused of sexual promiscuity.
And without going “wee wee” I don’t think the half time show is really targeted for anyone here, myself included.
But just because someone doesn’t like something doesn’t mean it’s terrible. There are enough people in the world that might think it was pretty great.
I would like to propose a Chinese National anthem, A Hispanic National An them, A Jewish National Anthem, a Vietnamese National Anthem, a Japanese National Anthem, A Martian National Anthem (just in case so peoplke don't think Im Alienphobic)

I haven't watched a football game since the players started taking a knee in protest about systemic racism. There are a lot of men and women who gave their lives for our freedom and protecting this country. Yes, they do have a right to protest but not during the National Anthem.
I watched and enjoyed the game because I was hoping to see the Chiefs beaten, and I was certainly not disappointed. But Sunday evening is when I collect the trash from all over my house, put it into the big trash bins and roll the bins 150 feet to the curb for Monday morning pick up. I used the halftime break to get that all done, coming back to the TV just as the second half kick off was about to happen. My wife watched the half time show and said it was beyond bad. I don't consider rap a form of music, and certainly not entertaining, so I knew I would not be missing anything good.
I watched because my wife is a football fanatic; we did the dishes during halftime (it's a tradition here).
p.s. Tom Brady wasn't very good either..... but he had a nice yellow wrist watch..!!! ($740,000 +/-).
Just thinking that they should have that half-time show at the Daytona 500...... give the drivers a break.
