I have ended up with quite a few original XR3 grip frames that were in rough enough condition that I swapped out with a nicer unit. Has anyone had any success with a refinishing process to get them looking good again? I've thought about going down to a powder coating company to talk to them about it but didn't expect that to be a good match.

Thanks,

years ago, we tried many anodizing shops all over the place and could NEVER get any of them to match , all shades of dark, except blue/black.....we ended up just using Alumahyde from Brownells, but have heard from a source that ceracote may work ,try contacting Ron in Pa. he does that sort of stuff, he's from here on the forum....;)
