I have a 2.25" SP101 that I wish to conceal carry strong side (4 o'clock).

I want the entire barrel to be protected, and a slight forward (FBI) cant.

I found two offerings from DeSantis (one retained, one open).

Also aware of Simply Rugged line.

Any other offerings out there that I should be aware of ?

My SP101 3in. rides in a Bianchi 7/7L- this holster has a retaining strap and fits both a 2in. or 3in. Ruger revolver. I like it very much.

You might look at Tauris Holsters:

http://www.taurisholsters.com/products.cfm

A number of the holsters have options such as thumbsnap and reinforced mouth and you can
specify belt width for the slots/loops which many of the mass produced holsters one cannot.

Well, for the short term, I found a new Gould & Goodrich B802 on Ebay for $31 delivered - this will tide me over until my Wright is made and delivered. Did not like the idea of the Bianchi being too long for a 2.25" barrel - even though the quality is good.

Been a while since I had a G&G, but seem to recall that quality is OK.

Take a look at https://epsaddlery.com they have a wide selection of custom holsters-if you know what you want. Custom isn't more expensive than production, it just takes longer. There are a bunch of holster makers in the classifieds below. If you are unsure go to a gun store (or gun show or a custom leather guy) where you can try holsters and get one that fits you. Back in the day when I was 200lbs an inside waistband holster was great; now that I'm 130lbs they are unusable for me. I've wasted enough money on holsters that don't work I could have bought a nice gun!

yeah, I have lots of holsters too. Should have bought one gun, two holsters, and made them do for life - but we all get hooked on getting the latest wonder gun, and holsters to go with them.
