As some may have figured out by now, I have a lot of Ruger favorites. These are Ruger 77's, both are ST's and both went on a great hunting trip with Mrs. Cash and I. The trip was a muledeer hunt on the Grays River in nw Wyoming. Years ago now but the memory is vivid. The rifle on the top is a 7x57 and is the wifes rifle [or so she thinks]. The rifle on the bottom is a .30-06. Both are 70 series guns and shoot where they are pointed. Dr.C

On another Forum, long discussion about if there was ever a 7x57 ST with the 24" medium weight barrel. This one, and for me and and the experts I know, believe the 7x57 ST was only made with the 22" lighter barrel, as is the one Doc Cash pictures. It is one rare M77!!, It could be a Hollow Bolt or a Flat Bolt, or a regular round knob.
Which is it Doc Cash?
