Nice gun Fred!

But as I've said ... Not really into the Sig 1911's, or those FSS. :D

I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to 1911's.

I bet it's a great shooter though, and it's real pretty.

Pretty gun...'cept that external extractor.

LOL... That's just one of the 'non-traditional' things i was referring to. Its a Sig tho, so it should shoot the nads off a gnat at 50 feet.

Supposedly Sig now sells A traditional 1911 as well.

I forgive Sig for almost any transgression because they're so damned good. :D

Do you like those grips ? They're beautiful and in love the Sig writing, but ...

I've always preferred heavily checkered grips on 1911's.

Cocobolo please ... Again... Traditionalist .... :D

I like the look but for hot weather they are a tad slick. I put on a set of green tactical checkered for serious target work.

Good lookin' gun there Fred. Great grips except for the Sig bill board on them. Rod

Thanks. I have been thinking about sanding off the Sig logo and refinishing the grips. but I don,t know if I can do a good enough job??

I wouldn't ... If you don't like them just buy different grips.

If you like the wood grips but not SIG's advertising then nice ones are out there. I got these in Redwood burl from Sarge (The Finer Grain).
