My parents make 50 years this year and my wife and I wanted to do something special for them. But what do ya get for the folks that dont want or need anything? Pictures! My sister had some of their wedding pics framed in special 50th frames but i wanted something different. Dad is a gun guy and loves 6 guns, so why not do something in leather?! But i know mom wouldnt get enjoyment out of holsters or belts, so thats no good. I got to poking around on Doc's facebook page and it hit me! A portrait!!

So i contacted Doc and we settled on the picture to use. He contacted me the other day and said it was ready and was in the mail.

Here it is. First the pic we used, then the portrait. Enjoy!

Looks great. We also pondered the album idea for my parents 50th. My sister wrote to all their old friends and they sent letters and pictures that ended up in the book. It turned out to be a very chershed memento.

Yep - some folks know how to make a marriage last.........

For our honeymoon, almost 50 years ago, I treated my wife to a long tour of Europe.

This year, for our 50th - I think I'll go back and get her..... ;)
