Just got a Unfired Old Army with oversize finger grips. Made in 1997. What other Model Ruger grips will fit the Old Army frame ? Thanks

Redesigned and replaced the original 1953 XR3 frame, marked "XR3-RED," also had the maker, "Alcoa," on early frames. Used on Single-Six, Super Single-Six, Blackhawk, Hawkeye, Old Army. Hawkeye frame had wider trigger slot to accommodate Super Blackhawk trigger.
Aluminum alloy, black anodized
Varnished Walnut, oil filled Walnut with Black Ruger Eagle medallions. Beginning about mid 1971 the medallions were changed to a flat Silver Eagle.
Discontinued 1972/73 (except for Old Army which was discontinued about 1985 when replaced with steel)

My gun has a old army grip frame. It says XR3 RED on it. But...the Blackhawk grips do not fit it exactly. Close but not the same.

what 'hittman' has listed above and normally that all the Old Armies I have dealt with werethe "standard" XR3_Red frames except some early ones that came with factory larger "brass" frames ,squared back trigger guard ( Super BH)...who knows over the years what ANY owner, or gun shop or whom ever has put on ANY given gun over time........:rolleyes:;)
