I was reading on a previous thread (single six mag cyl), that early (pre 61) bores were .219. Mine is S# 103xxx and I had a spare mag cyl from mid 70's that fit it perfectly and and functions fine although I haven't shot it much. Is there any safety concerns I should be worried about? Should I not use it in this gun? I just bought a 9 1/2" newer one with a 260- prefix that only has a LR cyl that I was thinking if it fit's or can be fitted and it functions fine that it might be more accurate out of the newer model.

NO problemo !! Go for it. My custom SSS has a target grade BBL with .217"I.D. and shoots 22MAG/WRF to beat the band at FPS as high as 1700.
And so it goes...
