I've been using the outer 13 pound spring for almost a year. Should I replace them with new springs?

Thanks!

You did not mention how many rounds through the gun. Small guns take a heck of a beating. I do not care what anyone say's. I have shot these guns (pocket guns) for years with a lot of volume. I change mine out every 5-600 rids. I buy about 5 at a time. LCP's do not last long anyway. Also if you shoot often, buy spare take down pins or a steel pin. Change them out on a regular schedule.

My dad had a Browning Hi Power for 26 + years, and he never changed the recoil spring. The only thing I remember he ever changed was one magazine. He shot it occasionally but never needed new recoil springs. I would think that the newer pistols have better springs than those made back in 1935-1950.
