I have the Hunter 5033 model for my SR9. Good holster for belt carry or just to keep the gun in while its in the car.

The pistols that i take to the range are carried in a soft padded pistol case, they are light and don't take up a lot of room. The hard molded plastic cases that the P series pistols come in are also nice and they will fit the SR40c fairly well, and they can usually be found on ebay for a reasonable price.

this is kind of what i had in mind. but not leather, more of a cloth material. or at least black.

You'd do well to look at some of the other posts about holsters. Many holster makers make them to fit any pistol, there are plenty of the SR-c pistols now. My two favorites are the Mitch Rosen Leather belt holster for sale by Ruger for outside the pants

http://ruger.com/products/sr40c/extras.html

and the Crossbreed SuperTuck

http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/SuperTuckDeluxe/tabid/90/List/0/ProductID/1/CategoryID/1/Level/1/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName

for inside the pants. With shipping both are around $80.

Tommy Theis holsters, cross breed but better service and less expensive, but same quality.

I'd recommend the Fobus HK1 paddle holster as well but if you only want something to store it in get a pistol case. One of these little butterfly zipper cases are the ideal thing for storage and transporting. You can get a soft case for the LC9 for around $8-16 depending on where you buy it.
