A while back I traded for a SAA clone, Jager Armi 1873 made in 1985. It's in great shape, but someone replaced the sear/bolt spring with one that was too wide & ground on the trigger spring side resulting in a way too light trigger. That or they were trying to lighten the trigger. Either way it's totally unsafe now.

The gun was imported by EMF. I understand that the 1851 Navy, 1860 Army & SAA share the same spring. It also appears that the wire springs from Wollf & Heine are reduced power, not what I'm looking for.

My question is where would be the best place to look for a replacement?

Right company but probably not much help. They quit making these something over 40 years ago.

As it's a pretty good copy of the Colt I figured the spring is pretty much standard. One place I read said Uberti's were different tho.

well, but trying to contact them costs nothing:
they may have some spare parts leftover, or indicate a way, or an alternative source, to solve the problem_
only my 2c.
