RENE list them at $1500. If it has an "Eagle" barrel then $1600. If it has a XR3-RED grip frame then $1650. If it has factory stag grips then add around $500. Factory Ivory grips then add $2000 +.

A real nice one brings $1500 all day..a decent unmolested shooter goes at about 900 plays...your mileage may vary..

Mike is close, condition IS everything....most we have ever gotten for one was $1200 for a 'mint' one in the fall, no box or papers, that would be the "game changer" :wink:
I disagree with the price, there are "what" only 750 or so made? I feel a nice clean one would bring $1600-1800 all day....with the emphasis on "nice one"......

I Know-I know.....I have paid way to much for boxes myself.....paying $800 for a BK-28 box, but there's over 3300 of them, not 750....

Ohhhh Dan, wish I had seen that Mint 7-1/2" .44 FT for $1,200....I would have jumped on it!! 
Please let me know when you get another one! I agree with Scott on the pricing, the 7-1/2" in top condition is certainly worth a premium!

I guess I should be a little more specific a nice one will bring 1500, a real nice one 1800-2000..as far as the box goes, a nice box will fetch $1000..add that to a real nice gun numbered to the box and paperwork...and there ya go!
I think the last one I bought (mint gun in numbered box with papers) was $3400..

Scott, I don't have RENE, but I recall a Forum discussion about there being 1,500 7 1/2" OM FT's. I'd always thought it was 750. FT44 just might remember my 1st

jefats,it all depends on who is buying and who is selling...if it's that nice ,put it on gunbroker and it will sell itself, and if YOU are buying, then get a number in your head, figure out the "pucker factor" ( how BAD do YOU want or need it) and go from there.........they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, separates the men from the boys, and who wants to jump off the porch and run with the BIG dawgs......... :wink:

Yeah...that 750 production is not very accurate in my opinion. Just ask a collector how many multiples of 7-1/2" .44 FT's they've had as compared to how many 10" .44's.
That 750 figure was started a long time ago and it never has gone away.
But when the Super Blackhawk which came out in 1959 uses the very same barrel, why wouldn't Ruger have just went to the 7-1/2" bin??

What would a pair be worth? I picked up two of them last fall.

About 1,500 on the 10" .44. This I believe to be very accurate because the 10" guns show up in their own serial number blocks, just like the 10" .357's for the most part.
My current estimate on the 7-1/2" .44 FT is 1,500 to 2,000 without the eagle logo and another 725 with the logo. I remember somebody saying 750 probably 30 years ago and that number always seems to stick...but nobody did the actual sn research then...kinda like the 50 number that was put on the 10" 8-groove .357 way back when.
Speaking of 10" .357's, I'm going to do an article in the next RENE on an extensive listing of all known 10" .357 flattops, and with that I'll give everybody an idea of how I come up with my estimates. The estimates have everything to do with what's known and the serial number ranges of where they exist.
Is anybody able to bring up the old RF thread that showed that 10" .357 listing??? I'd like to see if there are new numbers that can be added before I do the article.
