Today I got to take out my SR-1911 and S&W M&P-9 for the first time, and they both performed perfectly. The SR-1911 was most accurate., and I really enjoyed shooting both. It was only the second time out in two years and since my minor stroke.
I was happy with my shooting.

Good deal!

I suggest some heavy duty "trigger time" doing dry firing. Gabe Suarez
suggests (in one of his books) ten thousand times. I found a LARGE
improvement at a bit over eight thousand cycles. 8)

:D 'sides which, you can "shoot" the bad guys on TV. :D
(saves a lot of money that way)

I picked up a Lazer-Lyte to use while dry-firing....

I have one or two much better quality 1911s and was a bit unsure of
doing extensive dry firing. Soooo, I went out and got a really "inexpensive"
one. I figured that if it did create problems I would be out far less. Turns
out that the "inexpensive' one now has an excellent trigger. I'll just bet
it has something to do with over 9K dry fire cycles. 8)
(AND there are/have-been zero problems) :D
