Just picked up a 130 series No. 1, great wood and metal, however, the rifle is filthy with old oil and crud which cleans up nicely with Hoppes and a tooth brush. I've had the forearm off, no big deal, and cleaned where I could. The breech block is in the same condition and the trigger assembly probably need cleaning also. What's it like to get into the trigger assembly? Does it come out in one piece? Is it something that can be easily removed and cleaned? The local gunsmith says he's done No. 1 triggers but I've also had other rifles come back with buggered up screws and such. Any advice/ comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Ruger .com there is a video on #1. That said I have owned many and never had one apart. Lots of small parts but the video shows the way good luck.

Here's a couple Ruger put on youtube. I haven't actually seen these so I can't comment on how good they might be.

I can't find it myself. If you search Ruger #1 disasembly the video will come up but will not show the trigger I believe you have to remove buttock to get to trigger.
