This is the easy way. It was taught to me by an "old salt".
First, field strip the weapon.
Next, clean all the oil and grease from the slide and frame channels.
Then install the slide on the frame without the barrel and recoil spring.
Put on a John Wayne movie and work the slide back and forth in a rapid fashion while enjoying the movie.
There is no strain to any parts and it will smooth it out so it is slick as a baby's butt.
Breaks it in just fine.

My SR1911 did not really need a break in, just clean and lube when needed and keep on shooting. Accurate and trouble free from day one.

Brought mine home took it apart, cleaned, and lubed it. Went to the range the next day and put 350 rounds through it. No problems even with 2 mags from my father in laws smith 1911.
