Slow learner, there is no way for a Ruger 1911 lower to hold up the firing pin safety pin in the slide on a Sig Sauer .22LR conversion kit.
differences in 1911 frame manufacturing I never even thought about.
Oh well, I tried, anybody need a .22LR conversion kit that will work on other 1911 lower frames?

Update, well, probably against some sort of gun safety rules, BUT home gunsmithing is now applied.
After taking a closer look, I was able to remove the breech block pin, take out the firing pin group, remove the staking pin, remove the plunger and spring for the firing pin safety detent, reinstall the breech block and it just ran through 10 rounds of CCI Stinger ammo, no problem. excellent feed and excellent accuracy.

It appears to function really good, so I am going to play with it a bit, minding to remember that if dropped, it might go off since there is now no firing pin safety.
