beretta model 70S 380

today I looked at a beretta 380.it is made in Italy and has the inspector stamps on the frame.it is a model 70s,has 1 mag,and the black plastic grips are new looking,also no blue wear on it anywhere.SSN is A53174Y.can anyone date it by this?it is $300.but the bad thing is right above it in the case is a really nice 669 ....dam. any one know anything about the model 70S

That's a good price for a 70s in the condition you described. I owned one a few yeards ago, good gun , fit my hand well. The s model is single action with a safety that operated like a 1911. Beretta like many European manufacturers markes their guns with a date code for instance AE= 1979.
