More updates….

After installing the barrel, the cylinder gap came it at 0.0005" (which is too tight). The barrel was pulled and 0.001" was taken off the shank.

Final gap = 0.0015"

The ejector housing was then marked and the screw hole was drilled & tapped:

I like contrasting post sights against a Bowen rear notch. As such, the front sight was milled out of a block of aluminum:

I forgot to take a picture of me doing it, but the back edge is bead blasted to reduce glare. The rest is polished.

And here's the gun in final form:

I'll take better photos of it when I test fire it this weekend. Unfortunately, these pictures don't do Cary Chapman's grips justice.

Lee,

If you get inspired to do another one I'd love to see a NM Blackhawk in .327 Federal Magnum. Bowen and other gunsmiths offer conversions for .32 Single Sixes but I've never seen a Blackhawk in .327 Fed Mag. With the heaver frame I'll bet it would be a sweet shooter and the extra cylinder mass would help with the high pressure of the .327 round.
I'd also like to see that lettering machine that you described earlier in action.

I love threads like this one where people demonstrate their skills and take us along for the ride!

I actually have built a 327 cylinder for a full-size NM:

The cylinder pictured is my 32 Martin Meteor, but I eventually did a second one in 327. Shoots great.

Outstanding work!

Ruger employees / management (yes, you... the ones who lurk on this board and the other one) ... produce this revolver! Lee Martin has shown you the way... go and do likewise! I'd buy one right now if it were available.
