Ron, thanks. And Good for you! If your shootin' it remember to stay large and slow. Heavier bullets, 180 gr. and larger and slow burning powders like 4227, Coogs.

Those are such great guns and I too prefer the 10.5" version. My Ruger Maxs, Sevilles, and El Dorados shoot well with 21.0 of AA1680 under a 205 grain hardcast. You may want to give it a try in yours.

I'm using Leadhead's 205 grain silhouette slug:

I think I forgot to mention to Jack aka Coogs that I have a nearly new 10.5 version #xxx-01295. So, now you know where this one resides.

Mine is a 10.5" purchased from IHMSA back in the early 1980's, serial # 600-02692.

Used it to shoot matches. Very accurate with IHMSA brass head stamped with the ram silhouette (made by Federal). Used a 170 grain Sierra Silhouette FMJ driven by Win 680 (would have to use AA-1680 today). Shot .75" 10 shot groups at 50 yards with factory sights from the Creedmore position. Won several International Category Revolver classes with it.
