I have a NIB 1992 Ruger Mark II US Government model stainless 6-7/8" bull barrel pistol. I cannot find a "stainless model" listed in the blue book other than a slab side. This is a full bull barrel model. Someone told me he thought it was a US Government Target Model. Can anyone help me to ID & a value on it. THANKS, MIKE

There is a Stainless Government Target Model..
You don't see them too often but I saw a Used one for sale @ a local gunshow on Jan 1st & the seller wanted $400 but told me later he would take $350 after I bought the one in my avatar for $300 otd..
A NIB example would maybe bring $425 IMO..
It should have a test target with the box etc..
These are very sought after with shooters btw.
It should be marked "Government Target Model" on the receiver..

Yes, it has "Government Target Model" on top. The blue book lists it as a slabside. Maybe they don't list a full bull barrel. (per shipping box) The catalog # is KMK678G Model 0185. Any additional info.????? Thanks, Mike

The Slabside is a KMK678GC
I only know this because I had one of them I bought in 1999 & sold to a good buddy who still has it..
The first K = Stainless & 678 = 6 7/8" & G = Government Target Model
The C = Competition Target Model or Slabside

The Blue book of gun values doesn't always show every variant of gun made
Ruger makes several different variants of each were barrel lenth etc are changed..
Congrats on the Stainless Government Target, There great shooters, I wish I would have picked up the used one I saw Jan 1st for $350..
Hope this Helps..
Are you planning on selling it or just wondering it's value??
You won't have any problem selling it if you want to..
Not really rare but sought after never the less..

I bought my KMK678G MK-II "Government Target Model" S/N 219-951XX in 1995 for $309.00. It has the full bull barrel. Apparently, Ruger does not make the full bull barrel anymore.

BTW, mine is not NIB - it has over 40K rounds thru it :D
