What type of accuracy are y'all getting from your 4.2" SP 101's at 25 yards and beyond? I am a little disappointed in mine. Trying different loads and boolits but nothing is jelling.

Well Probably not a lot of help here, I just bought a 4.2" on Sunday. Cleaned it , shot a couple cylinders full, then sighted it in. Just at 10 yards getting started but I was rather impressed with the accuracy it showed..

I just traded mine for an OM 357 BH & couldn't be happier.
I had the 2.25" model. Mine shot all over the place, no group what so ever.

For me, If it keeps them in 3-4" at 30 ', I am happy. Short sight radius guns are hard for me to shoot real well. Mine all like 158 gr. bullets best.
I have four SP 101`s, 2 in .357,1 in .38, and one in .22 all but the .22 are plenty accurate for self defense and that is what they were made for. The little 4" .22 is quite accurate.

My 4" SP shoots quite well, though I mostly use handloads at .38 spl +P velocities. With 158 grain bullets, both lead or jacketed, I get about 2-3" groups, holding two-handed at 75 feet. I rarely do that nowadays, because I am practicing DA, either hand. At that, I have no complaints with the gun, only myself.

At 25 yds. I am getting 3" groups right along with the 125 gr. XTP bullet and 13.5 to 14.5 grs. of 2400. Velocity is in the 1100 to 1150 range which is enough in this small frame gun. 8)

I have a 3" in and a 2" or what 3.25 and 2.25? Is that the correct size? With my 2.25 (38 caliber) I can keep the group at 5 inches at 25 yards. I am completely happy with that.

To the OP. You never say what group size you have? Is that the .22 caliber 4 inch barrel at 25 yards...Your group should be 3 to 4 inches or better I would think.

Sorry for the double posting. Gun is .357 with Lee 158 rnfp over various powders. I did not mean to start a new thread. Moderators please feel free to correct my errors.
