    Lee Factory Crimp Die

And I have had just the opposite experience. I've used mostly Lee dies, and never had a problem. I bought one set of RCBS dies, and couldn't get a proper crimp. Called RCBS and they led me through the same procedure in the instructions. The one I had already gone through numerous times. He also...

    Primer Availability

To be honest, I haven't done any reloading in the past couple months as the ranges have been closed. The convenient indoor range that I have an annual membership closed and is now undergoing remodeling. It should open in a couple weeks. Buddy and I are planning a trip to the recently reopened...

    Is Universal position sensitive ?

There are some folks out there who see position sensitivity behind every bush. They become very down on any powder they regard as being position sensitive. Several years ago I tried to induce this in some .38 spcl Universal loads over a chrony. I could see no significant changes in velocity...

    Reloading Books

Then there are things like the SAAMI change to .38/.357 max pressures a few years back. Apparently, some guns were not up to the beating they were taking from the pressures/recoil, and were wearing out prematurely. They downgraded the specs. I still see people posting recipes based on the old data.

    Winchester steel case 9mm

Well, the link I provided in the first response has Midway listing this ammo as made in USA. Assuming that they have not changed suppliers, then it is not East European. Of course, Winchester may be contracting another US manufacturer to produce it for them and label it as Winchester. Not sure...

    Load data

Usually wad cutter loads are significantly less powder than a similar weight SWC, round nose etc. I believe that is because they are seated so deep, reducing the available case capacity. I have called and talked to a technician at Hodgdon regarding a bullet not listed in their data. As long as...

Coated cast bullets, grease groove or not?

I've shot both in .38 and in .45 ACP. Never noticed a difference in accuracy or function. I tend to prefer the non grooved, when available. That is just from the looks of the bullet, versus any actual performance I've observed.

    Winchester steel case 9mm

Well, I've had less trouble with Wolf and Tulammo than I have with Winchester, so hopefully they are rebranding East European. Nope, just searched and found this. Made in USA. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900671642/

Finally tightened the loose receiver on my Mark I

My buddy has a bunch of shims. I might measure the stack of foil and cut a shim based on that. Perhaps put a small dot of epoxy or CA to keep it in place.

Finally tightened the loose receiver on my Mark I

Well, I posted one. OK, I didn't post a picture of it apart. I suppose I could tear it down and take a couple pics if it is of a lot of interest to folks. I assume most of you have seen a Mark taken down.

Finally tightened the loose receiver on my Mark I

I've heard of using epoxy. This seemed simpler. I might try the epoxy some day. Maybe.

    What happened to this case?

Well, not all poly framed guns are Glocks by any measure. I have two, one a Ruger and one a Springfield. Glock is not the only manufacturer to sport unsupported chambers, although they are the most notorious for it. The older .40s were the worst, I believe some of the .45 and 10mm Glocks were...

Finally tightened the loose receiver on my Mark I

I've lived with a loose receiver for many years. I finally decided to try and do something about it tonight. Rather than peen the lug, or crimp the frame sides (both of these sounded like something I might regret if not done just right), I decided to just put a shim in the recess of the...

    Mark II problem

I would disagree with some of that. I have a Mark I that I purchased new in the mid 70s. After many thousands of rounds without disassembly I started having cycling issues and light strikes. I finally pulled it down and cleaned and reassembled it, and everything worked as advertised.

Differences in 9mm ammunition Added a Picture

Odd, my buddy's G19 is very picky about ammo. When he and I were developing 9mm loads he had a lot of ammo that his 19 wouldn't chamber. My SR9c would eat them and ask for more. I've also heard other owners say their Glocks were picky about ammo.
