My Vaqueros are used for cowboy action shooting and informal plinking and target work. My Blackhawks are used for the targets and plinking, but are also ready to go as my sidearm when hunting or riding/hiking through country where I become part of the food chain.

Store bought would depend on the load.......Cowboy action loads wouldnt be my first choice for a hunting situation. In .45 it can be difficult in some areas to find a true hunting load. I have plow handle type blackhawks and sbh's. I like their strength and pointability. I also own a .44...
