Any general tips SP 101 trigger job?

Hi Johnnu2, Yes, over 25 years I’ve done everything on S&W revolvers from Wolff lighter mainsprings, to trimming the mainspring screw, to finally my current method of just tuning (bending) the main spring. I usually just go down to 8-9#’s after polishing up and never experience lightstrike...

Any general tips SP 101 trigger job?

Thanks! If I might ask on SW’s I typically used one method or another to get a lighter mainspring but eventually gave up on lighter return springs as a snappy reset was worth a little extra double action pull. Anyone find pretty much same thing with the SP 101 action?

Any general tips SP 101 trigger job?

I’m an unrepentant kitchen table gun fiddler. I’ve done about a dozen trigger jobs on various Smith and Wesson’s revolvers with good success, but my first time delving into a Ruger. Any general tips or things you found useful?

9mm magazines Metalform or Brownells any good?

My three all drop free, but come to think of it, literally the day they arrived, two of my 5 Ruger SR1911 45 mags quit dropping free out of the blue... Maybe that alien chasing guy can find a connection???

What did you pay for Your 9mm 1911?

That's the attitude! :) Yeah I don't sweat $40 that much on such a long term purchase, and I do love that "Made in USA" slide-mark...

What did you pay for Your 9mm 1911?

Well Guess I overpaid at $736, oh well, awesome pistol, I'm still very very happy :) Just noticed yesterday while installing some grip tape to the front strap, that the 45 model I fondled at the shop DID have front strap grooved. Is it a 45 vs 9mm thing or something Ruger has just quit doing...

9mm magazines Metalform or Brownells any good?

Just for an update, I ended up trying the Brownells 10 rounds mags, as they had a 3 pack deal that made them about $10 a mag cheaper (roughly $21 each or so) than the ten shot metalforms. Was a little concerned when I got them as they certainly did not seem as smooth as the factory Ruger mags...

9mm magazines Metalform or Brownells any good?

Greetings, Have a SR1911 9mm on it's way next week :D and was looking for some 10 round magazines. Common internet wisdom says Wilsons ETM are good to go, of course they are $40-50 (I'd certainly expect them to be good to go at that price) Wondered if anyone has tried the Metalform or...

    Recommendations to Cerakote 1911SR slide???

Greetings, I love my SR1911 mechanically, but all matte stainless is kind of "meh" to my personal taste looks wise. I do like the two tone look so thinking about sending slide only in to be cerakoted black. After almost sending slide off to a shop with a nice website, then discovering the...

    Considering an LCP

Guess it's coming later this week? Honestly if it is I was kinda hoping they would not drop the regular one, seems they just got the trigger and sights right on it. I know they can be found online, but locally they are rarer than hens teeth now, right when I was looking for another one :(

What Mods to your Ruger GP100?

Sent off to Impact Guns for trigger job, and chambers chamfered, threw Hogue grips in trash and replaced with Altamont old style. Can't think of anything else I would want?

    Which GP100???

I've seen several 3" .38 GP-100's with Adjustable, and know they made some in 357 but they are very rare, which is a total shame, as that would be a great package :( To me the great versatility of the 357 is that you can plink with light loaded 38's, compete with mid range loads, and have some...
