That's kinda pricey. I just checked Midway, same price there. Pyrodex is $26 per pound, Goex BP is $27 per pound & Triple Seven is only $36 a pound.
At $178 a pound is Blackhorn that much better?

I have GOEX and Scheutzen black powder, real black powder, not a substitute. FFFg at about $30/lb earlier this year.

I bought 20# of the Holy black a couple of years ago, should last a while in my Old Army, .40-65 Sharps replica, and .54 Hawken.

GOEX is now made by Estes Energetics. Apparently getting the product to distributors is going slowly.
That what 209 black horn is going for. A guy at camp just bot 4 lbs. In his inline it shoots very well. One big hole at 100yds. But I ain't buying any of it!
As a BAR (born again rocketeer), I wondered if Estes Industries, the company that defined model rocketry, was connected to Estes Energetics.

I am not as old as some here but getting there.. fondly remember Goex at $5/lbs and being available at every gunshop..cut my teeth on a T/C Hawken kit rifle that I saved up hay bailing money to buy, and completed in my basement after school and football practice in the fall right before deer season.
$99.99 for 8oz of Blackhorn here at SW. I think I'll stick with Pyrodex or Triple7.
