So the only Veteran's Day Parade in Richardson Texas was at my daughter's school. I partly wanted to put the pictures up because it was Veteran's Day but also to show what the new cell phones are cabable of. I have the Samsung S5 Active. It has a 16mp camera. There is a whole lot of options including selective focus, 4x digital zoom, burst shots, metering options (center, matrix, or spot) image stabilization and video of course. Pretty fancy actually. These pictures were all taken with the cell phone on a somewhat cloudy day. My wife has the new Apple and by comparison, it only has an 8mp camera...
And yes, thank you to all the Vet's. Days like yesterday make me think how lucky we all are to live in such a country!

The guy waving is the father of a child in my daughter's class. He was Army 82nd Airborne and he was one of the first soliders in Haiti after the earthquake there.
and an inside shot with the cell phone. I was at the car dealer getting a nail taken out of my tire. This is a new VW diesel, only 31k if someone is interested. 40+mpg.
