WTT: Ruger P89 for P89DC

Looking to do a simple swap, my P89 for your P89DC.

Mine is blued and would come with a few mags and the Hogue grips. Yours need not come with anything, you can even keep your mags.

Hey Zak,
Why not keep your gun and just buy a slide kit off gunbroker etc? Once you get your gun working the way you want you can sell off the extra parts.

I actually have 2 P89s, one is just a P89, the other a P89DC. I would like to have two P89DCs, to keep one in the trunk of each vehicle, while still having 100% interchangeability of all parts.

Interesting note: I swapped the slide/barrel/rod assemblies on the P89 and P89DC noticed they are not necessarily interchangeable. The P89DC slide/barrel/rod assembly does not work on the P89 frame. But when I drop the P89 barrel and rod into the P89DC slide, it functions fine. The P89 rod has the "nipple" and the P89DC rod is flat. The pivoting barrel lug thing is also a bit different.

Can anyone explain why?

The nipple type is older. I have found that the newer link can hang in the older frame and that could be causing the DC slide not to work on the 89 frame. Otherwise they should pop on fine.
