Gentlemen, I think this is a new record for me keeping a collectable Ruger so it can now move to a more worthy home. This is the earliest known (accordinig to our stalwart members here) Type 1 transition 357 flat top. The folks at Ruger bent some company rules and gave me the exact ship date which was Sept. 28th, 1956. The gun has obviously been used and shot but it is functions just like it was designed to do over 50 years ago. The frame even has a plum hue to it and it has all the requisite features of the Type 1 transition guns. The shipped price on the gun is $725 and we can work out a payment plan if anyone needs some flexability in paying. The first "I'll take it" posted in this ad gets it headed their way.
I would also look at a Marlin lever action octagon barrel cowboy gun in 45 Colt or 44 Mag/Special or a Mark II 5 1/2" heavy barrel target pistol in trade as well. Maybe even one of the Ruger 1911's could be figured in a swap.
Thanks for looking,
Robb
