WTS Ruger LCR .38 (TX)

Help Support Ruger Forum:

This is the same gun that one member sent payment for a few months back. He sent cash, and left the unit number off the address, according to the US postal service (it was going to a UPS store). To this day I never got the envelope, but to this day he still thinks I pocketed his money and kept the gun. Do not send cash, ever!

I would think if someone used a UPS store it wouldn't be hard for them to look up your name and put it in the appropriate box. Regardless, where someone needs to send the money, there is a thief in the wood pile it appears. If not you, who? Who knows maybe this is the only time someone at the UPS Store stole an innocuous looking letter. Hard to believe but maybe. At the very reasonable price it's at, I would think it would be easy to sell in Houston Texas, with out having to ship. Why?

I had the manager/owner look into it and to this day no one there knows what happened. Not that they are all innocent or anything.

And yes I can sell it locally pretty easily, but since I filled out a 4473 on it, I want the new owner to fill out a 4473 too. That's why I'm taking a loss to sell it on the forum.

This is why I prefer PayPal or at least a money order.

Bump with price reduction in original post. Paypal is highly preferred.

You sure are selling a lot of guns, that could be sold in Texas with out shipping and all you would have to do is go to a dealer and have them fill out the form there. Pay your money, take your chances.

Local buyers want to skip the FFL/4473 as it is legal to do a private sale in Texas. That's why it's hard to get buyers around here meet me at the FFL dealer, even if I did pay their fee.

Just a suggestion:
Go to the Texas Gun Trader website.
Print yourself a few copies of their excellent (free) bill of sale.
Carry two copies to the FTF location.
Both parties ID themselves, write in their DL info (and/or their CHL info), address and phone number.
Both parties keep a copy...everything is on the up 'n up...problem solved.

Hope this helps.

This is exactly how I've bought and sold firearms in Florida, with BOS printed from Florida Gun Trader. Easy, efficient and legal in states that allow FTF private sales.
