Before he made handguns, he made hand drills. I believe this is the first model from about 1946 or 1947 with a wooden knob handle. Some red paint remains on the flywheel and some rust pitting on the hand grip. I'm reluctant to over clean this 70 year old hand tool, but while the chuck jaws are rusty, it still works like it should.
