Single-Sixer
am selling my used 1911 Colt Slide, 45 ACP . I am sure this is a later USGI Slide, but I am not an expert. I can still see the faint annealing mark of the slide on the muzzle end.
Standard 5" slide. Front sight is dovetail cut. Rear Slide is still the standard GI dovetail.
The slide is pictured with sights. However, these sight have been removed. Ejection port has been lowered and flaired. I was going to try to restore it
I bought this from my uncle who had it on an bowling pin gun. He did a lot of business with Bob Chow at the SF highbridge shop. Not sure if this was purchased there.
In excellent condition. No evidence of abuse or metal fatigue. This is a nice slide. I wanted to build a colt, but have been looking for a colt frame for years with no luck.
There will be no internal parts included.
I'm sure this has been refinished, but it's an old refinish. I bought this slide in 1988.
I am building a 6 inch gun. So this is being sold to fund my build.
