Bought a Mark I at Wannenmacher show this past weekend and need extra mag.

just pull the magazine button down the clip to the big hole.....pull out button and re-install on opposite side and you got a magazine that will fit the early pistol.....I got 2 of these and this is a lot cheaper then buying a collector priced magazine.....just get a Mk. 2 mag and try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip. I have read about people using the mark II mag but also read that they had some function issues. I’ll give it a try.

the newer MK II mags come apart differently that the old model ,solid body ones,,,,thoses, with the double slots re set as note above,,,the newer mag you have to depress the button in the bottom and slide the plastic bottom off, to the front,,,,reverse the button and reassemble the bottom....yes some of the newer, later MK II mags the follower button is WIDE, double the size of the old MK I button...this width is needed to operate the hold open lever on the Mark IIs.......we've had to turn some of these buttons down to make the head 'smaller" to fit and NOT drag, hang up in the older Mk I ( standard auto_) frames...........
