WTB Ruger pepper laminate M77 MKII stock

Boyds makes a stock called the "Classic" that is pretty close to the factory stocks. Comes in any color of laminate you could want

Long action, checkered, its going on a 7 Mag but I can make some careful cuts if necessary.

The Boyds one isn't bad but doesn't have the right profile and its not checkered, its also a monte carlo comb which won't look right.

I dont have an extra long action lying around. A call to Ruger about a Hawkeye stock might be the answer. Same as the MkII's with a bit slimmer forend is all. Plus they are checkered and a checkered MkII is pretty tough to find. It might not be the cheap route but sometimes getting what we want is expensive! The 7 mag has 2 different barrel profiles too. A standard that matches an '06 , 270 , etc. and a magnum that matches 25-06 , 300WM , and 338WM's.

Thanks RJ, I'll have to give Ruger a call. They aren't all that expensive. Midway has the short action one for $170.
