WTB RSS4X box

I don't think that they were putting a walnut sticker on the RSS4X boxes. When Ruger started the RSS4s they made a run of boxes for the RSS4s and I think it was after 1960, those were the ones that they put the walnut stickers on them. Those boxes only had RSS4 on them even for the convertibles. After those boxes ran out they starting using the RSS5 boxes and putting a sticker saying RSS4X on them. By that time the XR3 grip frame was replaced with the XR3-RED frame and all of those were walnut, so they no longer used the "Walnut Sticker" on the boxes.

First I fixed the title. So this gun with an XR3 grip frame SR#188231 should have come in an RSS4X box like the top one jussbad posted?

I checked my stash of Ruger boxes and close but no cigar. I have a RSS5 box with the Walnut Grips sticker & shipper box with matching s/n 172xxx. Darn
