Description
WTB: I'm looking for an Old Model Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Mag. Must be original lock-work with no transfer bar. Barrel condition unimportant and grip frame condition unimportant as this will be a project. Blueing unimportant as long as there is no pitting or dings or rust on frame and cylinder. Non prefix serial number preferred but not necessary to purchase. Must go FFL to FFL . If in the vicinity of North West Florida I can come to you for face-to-face and cash transaction. May drive as far as Jacksonville for the right price! Have Fla CWP. Contact by message on the Forum.
Thanks
Bob Kimbro
Thanks for replying Jim. It really doesn't matter, would consider either one. If there were multiple offers near the same price and condition I would probably opt for the Flattop. Main consideration is that the frame and cylinder could be properly polished and not show pits or dings/gouges. Usually a cylinder ring on Old Models can be polished out.

I saw one (3 screw, 4 1/2" barrel) on Armslist last week in Tallahassee for $450, for that price it grabbed my attention, I've got too many hand guns already so I passed, just checked & it's gone now. They're out there, just keep looking.

It's OK. Do you need to know what's going on on my end or your end?
I just want a decent Old Model .357 frame with correct cylinder and original lock-work. I have an old Flattop 44 barrel an Old Army steel grip frame to install on it.

Wish I had seen it. I would drive to Tallahassee for that if it fit my needs! Been checking Armslist ever since you posted, but no cigar yet! Also checking Gunbroker (wow at some of the prices) and advertising on a couple of local selling forums but no luck so far.
