WTB Marlin 1894 .357 mag.

I'm looking for a marlin 1894c .357 mag. Just a standrad blued/walnut version. I wanted to get one for my father-in-law for Christmas but they are hard to locate a new one right now. There is a few on Gunbroker but though someone may have one to part with. Thanks.

I have NIB as in unfired Model 1984 in .357 Magnum pre-safety Marlin that was manufactured in 1983. Back when they really beautiful walunt stocks and forends. Photos are attached. I am asking $725 shipped to your FFL.

csnider, just out of curiosity, is your gun ballard rifling or microgroove?

The Model 1894C (pre safety) are Microgroove barrels.

The Armslist offering is a Model 1894 CS. The CS is the newer model with the cross bolt safety and checkered stocks.

The pre safety carbines command a price premium.

Mine is a newer model with no checkering, octagonal barrel and the despised safety. Ballard rifled and shoots fantastic. Mine's not for sale (too much fun) but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a newer one.
