I'm looking to buy a blued or stainless Speed Six for a custom project. Would prefer 38 Special, but a 357 will be fine.

The Ideal gun for this project would be well worn or used.

The gun will have the metalwork modified, be polished, engraved, reblued and restocked.

Because of this, I don't want to alter a nice mint condition , collectible gun. As long as there is no major rust pitting, it's mechanically sound , and has a good bore I can work with it.

If anyone has something available please let me know. Feel free to send a PM if you prefer. I am located in Alabama and can arrange pick up within reasonable distance or work out shipping.

Thanks

I have one , 4" blued Police Service Six in 38 spe, probably nicer (95 % or better gun) , than what you are looking for but I'll let it go for $500 shipped FFL to FFL can send pictures by phone if you want to see it

Buckeye thanks for your response. So many of the six series guns have been put to work and used hard. It's uncommon to see one that is still in 95% condition. I dont want to alter a nice survivor like yours so I am gonna pass on your Service Six. I'm sure there are others out there who would jump at it !

Blackhawk, thanks for your response. I am gonna pass on your offer. Decided I want to locate a Speed Six for the project.

Post title now edited. Thanks.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that !

So how long were you guys gonna laugh at me before Weaselmeatgravy spoke up and set me straight ?!?!

I have been trying to decide whether to offer up my low back security six fixed sight 2 3/4 blued 357 mag. I bought it off the big auction sight, when it showed up it had a fiber optic front sight and the lower rear of the grip frame rounded so no collector value. I have installed a fabricated front sight in the original sight recess pinned in. It has aftermarket grips, and I have bobbed and spurred hammers for it. I also have spare used parts including barrels cylinder and most small parts.
I was thinking of rechambering the spare cylinder for 9mm, having the cylinders and barrel rehouse, and the frame color case hardened, but that isn’t in the cards now. If you have interest email me and we can discuss it
