Looking for Hawken style 54 caliber if it has the right twist (1 in 60) Will seltel for 50 cal. If barrel twist is right for patch round Ball.

Just some humble, basic opinion based on 50 years of competitive shooting ... 1:60 is pretty fast for a 54 caliber round ball. I think you’d find 1:72 more accurate. Also, get the best quality lock and barrel than you can. Everything else is secondary in an accurate flintlock.

I got a really fine rifle in 50 cal shenandoah 50 Caliber Flintlock Rifle was designed by Traditions to give you the style and feel of a traditional Pennsylvania rifle but at a lower price. The rifle features a 33 -1/2" octagonal barrel with a 1 in 66" rifling for patched round ball accuracy. You can shoot the eyes off a nat with this sucker

I bought a Lyman great plains flintlock a few years ago. I had the replace the terrible factory lock and triggers but that turned it into a very accurate and reliable rifle.
