WTB: A few pieces of .454 Casull brass

I've never owned a .454 Casull but plans are that I will soon have one and will add it to the calibers that I reload. My hope is to buy a half-dozen or so pieces of 454 Casull brass that I can "play around with" it before I actually get down to the optimizing of a reloading strategy for this caliber. If you have a few pieces that you'd be willing to part with, please PM me and we'll go from there. Thanks a bunch! :mrgreen:

Hey, WIL. I appreciate your post and your affirming that you have tons of experience at the reloading bench. For me, I'm only eight years into it, but I'm still hungry to learn!

There's nothing really exotic about my reloading strategy for the 454 Casull. I just meant that I hoped to be able to put together some safe, shootable 454 rounds by using my .45 Colt dies, plus the Hornady crimp die that I have. If I end up buying another set of dies specifically for the 454 Casull, that's fine...

Clear sights and straight shootin' to ya!

Don't worry about a set of 454 dies if you have 45 colt dies..Just shim your cold dies with a 1/8" (IIRC) washer..

Thanks, Jim. My Speer #13 Reloading Manual shows that the difference in the two cartridge lengths is 1/10" and as soon as I have a few pieces of 454 brass to play with, I'll try out my .45 Colt dies with them...

There's no problem...like Kanook posted, they stay in your outbox. And won't show in your sent file until he reads them. Probably just hasn't visited the forum yet since you sent them.
