Steve, have you ever re-loaded military brass before? You know that military brass needs to be processed, right? It requires a little more work than factory brass. Once they are de-primed and re-sized you have to ream out the primer holes because they have a crimp. And the trim length is very important too. Too much case length causes too much pressure (case not trimmed to spec) can cause your Garand to blow up! In the long run military brass is better because its thicker. Also for de-capping this military brass a heavy duty cast iron press and a sturdy bench is recommended. Also when shooting a Garand you must understand that you CANNOT use all types modern factory ammo in it, unless you know for sure it is under 50,000 psi! Military ammo is safe but not all factory ammo is! This is a safety issue! The pressure of the ammo used in a Garand must remain under 50K psi. So stick with M2 Ball or equivalent. Your recipes for reloads need to keep the pressure under 50K psi. The old Lee reloading manual has a few good loads, and lists the pressure for each one. I just remembered I also have 350 rounds of live ammo of that same stuff (M2 Ball) as well. Steel core bullets. Just went and pulled out the brass. Looks like about 350-400 or so rounds. Needs tumbling. Been stored for about 10 years. How bout 40 shipped for the brass?

The US military lake city match brass is not primer crimped in 3006 or 308. FYI

Also, a point to remember is that military ammo/brass from pre World War II and wartime and some Arsenal’s into early fifty’s had corrosive primers. The salt residue can weaken the brass. There is still a lot of vintage ammo and brass around.

I don't necessarily need military brass. Just some 30-06 to reload for a Garand. I have been reloading for a long, long time (not for Garand) but am aware of the pressure issues.
I have had some folks answer and if they come through I will probably have enough.
